Katie Coleman, CFP®, is a Financial Advisor and President of Coleman Financial Group. She has been in the financial services industry for 15 years and is passionate about helping people achieve their financial and life goals. Katie is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She moved to New York in 2007 and that same year, joined Siena Wealth Advisory Group. In 2012, Katie became a partner at the firm and together, with her business partner, trained over 600 financial advisors across the country. She was named as one of Long Island Business News’ 40 under 40, which honors outstanding members of the business community on Long Island, in January 2014. Katie was a finalist of the 2015 Athena International Young Professional Leadership Award. She has been quoted as a financial expert in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, NY Post and the Long Island Business News and appeared on CNBC’s “On the Money”. In 2018, she was recognized on the Forbes America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors List and identified as one of the Ameriprise Working Mother Top Advisor Moms.

Katie holds her Series 7, 66 and the New York State Life and Health Licenses, and is a CFP®, Certified Financial Planner practitioner. 

Katie currently sits on the board of the Spencer Foundation, an organization that focuses on helping children and their families battle cancer and chronic illnesses. In 2020, Katie presented at the Ameriprise Cross Territory Women’s Summit. She continues to actively participate in local and national organizations such as the Accountants Resource Group (ARG) and Long Island Wonder Women.

 In September 2018, Katie started her own wealth advisory practice, Coleman Financial Group. Coleman Financial Group is passionate about protecting you and your families from the unexpected. Katie and her team work to educate and empower others so that they can make sound financial decisions to best achieve their personal goals and dreams.

Katie enjoys spending time with family, reading, and traveling. She currently resides in Oakdale, NY with her husband Bob, their two daughters, Charleston and Sailor and their yellow lab, Mahi. Katie is actively involved with her local parish, St. Mary’s and participates in many of the community programs with her family. Katie spent Spring 2021 coaching her youngest daughter, Sailor, in her youth soccer league.

Shawn has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years in administrative and client service roles. Shawn loves all things interior design. Her hobbies and interests include traveling to different places and cooking.

Peter DeTolla is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance in the Spring of 2024. He holds his Series 7 and is currently studying for his next round of examinations.

Peter resides in Northport, NY with his parents Aimee and Peter, and his brothers Timothy and William. He enjoys spending time with them, aiming to be outside as often as possible. Outside of work and family, Peter enjoys surfing, playing guitar in his band, and exercising – most often in the form of pickup sports like pickleball.

Peter is energized by helping others achieve their goals, financial or otherwise, and works diligently with Katie and the rest of the CFG team to bring those goals to fruition.

Dana Mosca is an Executive Assistant at Coleman Financial Group. Dana started her career working in the advertising and television industry at MMT Sales and then at Fox Television for 14 years. Fun fact: While working at Fox, she met one of her favorite celebrities, Bruce Willis. Dana returned to the workforce after a career break to focus on raising her children. She began working in the financial service industry in administration and client service role for the past 11 years.

Dana enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. When she is not at work, she stays busy with her 3 daughters Olivia, Sophia & Isabella, and their family dog Amber.

Dana finds joy in creating order and comfort at home. She also loves traveling, watching game shows, reading and going on long walks. Summertime is her favorite season, and she finds peace and relaxation at the beach.

Lauren Delaney is a Marketing Coordinator and Client Relationship Manager at Coleman Financial Group. She is passionate about engaging with clients and fostering strong, long-term relationships. Lauren earned her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Marist University, graduating in the spring of 2025.

During her time in college, she spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy, which broadened her perspective and sparked a lasting love for travel and exploring new cultures. In her free time, Lauren loves spending time with her friends and family.

Joey is a junior at SUNY Old Westbury majoring in Finance. He was raised in a tight-knit community on Fire Island where he grew to love the beach and ocean. His future goals are to build a career in finance where he can help those who need informed financial decisions. Working at CFG, Joey is gaining hands-on experience in the finance industry, and he is eager to keep growing as he works on his career.

Mahi is a short-haired golden lab who has been the undisputed ‘employee of the month’ winner ever since the award was created! Admittedly, Mahi is not the most finance-savvy member of the team (new toys and/or opportunities to get head scratches distract him from long-term planning), but he brings great joy to the office and all of our clients who visit.

In his spare time, Mahi enjoys napping, long walks with plenty of interesting scents, and trying out the best new treats the local market has to offer.

Mako is a black lab who has been a beloved member of the team since day one! He approaches each day with boundless enthusiasm, greeting every visitor like a long-lost friend and ensuring the office atmosphere stays upbeat. Spreadsheets and strategy meetings may not be his strong suit, but when it comes to boosting morale, Mako is unmatched.

Outside of “work hours,” Mako loves going on walks, sniffing out every interesting scent, and playing fetch. He’s also a connoisseur of treats and has a remarkable ability to convince anyone that he deserves “just one more.”
